MOTOREX oils: Cross Power 2T and 4T guide for off-road riding
Cross Power 2T, Cross Power 4T and the entire MOTOREX range: choose your oil for motocross, enduro, gearbox and suspension with the RAW Motorsports indicators.

For a cross or enduro motorcycle, choose the MOTOREX oil according to the engine and the manufacturer's manual. Cross Power 2T concerns the lubrication of two-stroke engines; Cross Power 4T concerns four-stroke engines, with the grades 5W40, 10W50 and 10W60 offered in the catalog. The gearbox and suspension require a separate selection. At RAW Motorsports, oils are sold individually, according to the capacity indicated on each sheet.

- Prepare your order
At the start of a motocross race or an enduro day, the choice of oil is part of the motorcycle's preparation. It is also necessary to distinguish between engine lubrication, gearbox lubrication and suspension products. A relevant reference for one circuit may be unsuitable for another.
At RAW Motorsports, the range MOTOREX oils Cover these different needs. This guide emphasizes Cross Power 2T and Cross Power 4T, two ranges developed for off-road vehicles, then helps you find the other families present in our catalog. The first reference remains the manufacturer's recommendation for your model and your vintage.
Which MOTOREX oil should you choose for your cross or enduro bike?
Start by identifying the engine and the circuit to be maintained. For a two-stroke engine, the oil intended for mixing or separate lubrication is not the gearbox oil drain oil. For a four-stroke engine, check the viscosity and the specifications required before choosing the capacity.
| Your need | Range to examine | To check before purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Lubrication of an off-road engine 2T | Cross Power 2T | Pre-mix or separate greasing, manufacturer's standard and dosage |
| Engine oil change of a cross or enduro motorcycle 4T | Cross Power 4T | Grade 5W40, 10W50 or 10W60 depending on the manual, specifications and filling volume |
| Separate lubrication gearbox | Gear Oil, Racing Gear Oil or other prescribed oil | Product explicitly adapted to the motorcycle's gearbox and clutch |
| Brake fork or shock absorber maintenance | Racing Fork Oil, Racing Shock Oil, Racing SD-1 | Hydraulic reference, viscosity, quantity and procedure of the suspension manufacturer |
| Preparation of a foam air filter | Air Filter Oil or Racing Liquid Bio Power | Compatibility with the filter and cleaner used |
MOTOREX Cross Power 2T: the competition oil for the off-road vehicle
A MOTOREX Cross Power 2T Is an entirely synthetic oil designed for two-stroke engines of off-road motorcycles. MOTOREX indicates a development with manufacturers and racing teams, a formulation limiting fumes and combustion residues, as well as possible use in premix or separate lubrication. Its technical sheet announces the specifications TC API, ISO-L-EGD and JASO FD. Consult the MOTOREX Cross Power 2T technical sheet.
You are looking for a Oil 2T for motocross or enduro ? Power 2T is the first family to be examined in our selection for this use, by comparing its characteristics with the motorcycle manual. The competition designation does not exempt you from respecting the dosage or the lubrication system provided.

Pre-mixing, injection and separate lubrication: what is the difference?
In the premix, the rider doses the oil into the gasoline before use. With separate lubrication, the oil is placed in a dedicated tank and the motorcycle system ensures its supply. MOTOREX USA also indicates the use of Cross Power 2T on oil injection systems and TPI applications. This does not replace the verification of the exact model: the presence of gasoline injection alone is not enough to determine where to pour the oil. See the applications indicated by MOTOREX.
How to calculate a two-stage mixture?
The percentage comes from the manufacturer's manual. Once this dosage is known, the calculation is simple: volume of oil in milliliters = volume of gasoline in liters × percentage × 10. If your motorcycle requires a mixture with 2 %, 5 liters of gasoline therefore require 100 ml of oil; 10 liters require 200 ml. These examples explain the calculation, they do not establish a universal dosage.
To organize a riding day, note the dosage retained on your mixing can and use a readable dispenser. If several motorcycles share the paddock, clearly identify their fuels. This small preparation avoids confusing a mixing can, pure gasoline and oil intended for the gearbox.

MOTOREX Cross Power 4T: an engine oil for the requirements of cross and enduro
A MOTOREX Cross Power 4T Is a range of fully synthetic engine oils developed for all-terrain four-stroke. For the 10W50 version, MOTOREX highlights thermal stability, shear resistance and the specification JASO MA2, relevant for multi-disc clutches in oil bath. See the manufacturer's presentation of the Cross Power 4T 10W50.
The right approach is to start from the maintenance sheet of your motorcycle: what oil is required, in which circuit, in what quantity and how often? You can then choose the corresponding container for your intervention. The word "racing" does not constitute an authorization to change the viscosity or extend the oil change intervals.

Cross Power 4T 5W40, 10W50 or 10W60: which to buy?
These three grades are present in our catalog. They respond to different recommendations: we do not automatically select the highest value because we are racing. Keep in mind the authorized grade for your engine and your conditions of use.
| reference | When to choose it? | Access to the product |
|---|---|---|
| Cross Power 4T 5W40 JASO MA2 | When the manual provides this grade and compatible specifications | See the 5W40 1 L |
| Cross Power 4T 10W50 JASO MA2 | When the engine recommendation requires a compatible 10W50 | See the 10W50 1 L |
| Cross Power 4T 10W60 JASO MA2 | When the manufacturer prescribes or authorizes the 10W60 | See the 10W60 1 L |
A concrete example: KTM lists Cross Power 4T 10W50 in several oil change kits for SX-F, EXC-F and XC-F, with different applications and quantities depending on the models and years. This list illustrates why a recommendation must always be attached to a specific motorcycle. Consult the applications of KTM oil drain kits.
Is a 1 L bucket enough for a drain?
The capacity of the container and the amount needed for the engine are two different pieces of information. Check the manual for the volume corresponding to the intervention, especially with or without replacing the filter. Order enough oil to carry out the procedure and check the level correctly. The 4 L format can be practical for several maintenance; the 1 L format makes it easier to order according to your needs.
Also find the Cross Power 4T 10W50 4 L and Cross Power 4T 10W60 4 L. and availability are those displayed on the sheets at the time of your order.
What is the frequency of draining in competition?
There is no number of hours valid for all cross and enduro motorcycles. Use the manufacturer's maintenance program and its possible instructions for racing. Keep a record of the hours of riding and interventions: date, oil used, quantity, filter replaced and next due date. Competition oil is part of this regular maintenance.

For oils dedicated to competition such as Racing Pro, Racing Pro Cross or KTM Racing, check the exact recommendation of your preparer or the manufacturer. Their name does not mean that they replace all other oils in the range. Similarly, an oil intended for a scooter, a snowmobile or a marine engine does not become a motocross oil by brand equivalence.
Box, suspension and filter oils: complete the motorcycle preparation
The gearbox of a motorcycle 2T has its own lubrication
The purchase of a mixture oil does not necessarily end the maintenance of a two-stroke motorcycle. The gearbox and clutch may require a separate oil. Our catalog includes Gear Oil 10W30, Racing Gear Oil 10W40 and Trial Gear Oil 75W, as well as ATF Dexron III For applications that require it. The selection is based on the transmission prescription, not only on the engine displacement or the brand of the motorcycle.
For the other transmissions, find the families EP Gear Oil, Hypoid Gear Oil, Prisma ZX, UniSynt ZX, Penta LS, LS Universal and ZX scooter. and specifications meet different needs; compare the reference requested in the manual before ordering.
Racing Fork Oil and shock absorber oils
A MOTOREX Racing Fork Oil Is intended for the lubrication and hydraulic damping of the fork. MOTOREX highlights in particular the mastery of foam formation and the stability of operation, and requests that the viscosity, level and maintenance intervals be respected by the manufacturer. Read the Racing Fork Oil 5W sheet.
The range also includes Fork Oil 10W30, Racing Shock Oil and Racing SD-1. to prepare an intervention, take down the exact model of the suspension and its oil reference. The quantity to order depends on the maintenance procedure, not just the engine displacement of the motorcycle.
Air filter and chain: the other points of off-road preparation
A foam filter requires a product intended for its maintenance. Find Air Filter Oil 206, the references Racing Liquid Bio Power And the Chainlube Off-Road For the chain. The manufacturer reminds that after application the oil must be distributed evenly in the foam; cleaning and preparing the filter are part of the procedure. See the MOTOREX air filter maintenance guide.
Hydraulic fluids constitute another family: Hydraulic Fluid 75 Is selected according to the requirements of the circuit concerned. For brakes and cooling, consult the dedicated products and their compatibility; engine oil does not perform these functions.
